Raiding the land of Dr Samir Shqeir in Wadi Al-Rababa
Employees of the Nature and Parks authority protected by the occupation forces raided on Monday the land of Dr Samir Shqeir in the neighborhood of Wadi Al-Rababa in Silwan. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the employees raided the land around the Dr’s house and took pictures of the whole land as well as its contents (water and gas pipes and trees). The employees then withdrew from the land and hung and order to remove the contents within 24 hours and if the owner doesn’t execute the order, the Nature and Parks authority’s employees will execute the order on the owner’s expense. The occupation authorities claim that Dr Shqeir changed the nature of “public parks” while Shqeir confirmed that he owns the land and has all the official document to prove it; he pointed out that the land is planted with tress since many years.
