Extending the arrest of six Jerusalemites and releasing three others
The Magistrate judge extended on Sunday the arrest of six young Jerusalemite men and released three others. Al-Dameer organization lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud, said that the Magistrate judge extended the arrest of Khalil Khalil from the neighborhood of Al-Thori in Silwan until next Wednesday; note that he was arrested on Sunday early morning. Lawyer Mahmoud added that the judge extended the arrest of Mohammad Naser Abulhawa until Tuesday and the public prosecution submitted a prosecutor’s permit on Sunday to submit an indictment against Abulhawa; the judge also extended the arrest of Mahmoud Amoud and Atyeh Rajabi until Monday. The Magistrate judge released on Sunday Salem Harbi Abbasi and Ali Ahmad Abbasi with a three-thousand NIS bail for each and a third-party bail of 7 thousand NIS in addition to house arrest for 5 days; note that they were arrested at the beginning of last month and were interrogated in Al-Maskobyeh in “cells 20”. A session was held on Sunday at the Magistrate court for the minor Amjad Qawwas and the judge approved lawyer Mahmoud’s request and allowed Qawwas to go to school. In a related matter, the Magistrate judge extended last Thursday the arrest of the lawyer Rami Alami until next Tuesday and Naeem Hadreh until completing the legal procedures against him. The judge released on Thursday Mahmoud Jaser Abulhawa on condition of house arrest for 5 days and a third-party bail of six thousand NIS.
