Children sit-in to protest against the “occupation municipality’s Marathon”
The children of Jerusalem confronted the Jerusalem municipality’s Marathon by carrying out a sit-in in Street number “1” in front of thousands of Israeli and foreign participants. The children raised Palestinian flags and wore shirt that said “Marathon Arab Identity of Jerusalem” and chanted for Jerusalem and condemned the occupation procedures in the city; Special Forces and police were stationed near the sit-in location. The occupation municipality said that 25000 people participated in the marathon where most of them were Israelis and had 2000 participants from 60 countries and also had some famous runners; note that the race has been adopted in the annual agenda of the World Federation of Athletics.
