Al-Malhi family tries to enter its house and the police assault the family members with grenades and rubber bullets
March 18, 2015

Clashes broke out on Wednesday night in the neighborhood of Wadi Hilweh in Silwan after the Israeli police fired sound grenades and rubber bullets towards Al-Malhi family members and the young men of the neighborhood when they were near the property that was seized by the settlers earlier Wednesday through falsification of documents. Wadi Hilweh Information Center explained that Al-Malhi family members (Um Mohammad and her children) tried to enter the only apartment left for the family in the building after the other three were seized, but the setters’ guards prevented them and the family insisted on entering and sat in front of the main gate of the building. The Center added that several young men intervened in an attempt to help the family enter the apartment but the Special Forces arrived and fired sound grenades and rubber bullets towards them and also assaulted some of them with pushing and beating. The Israeli forces arrested the 15-year old Ibrahim Al-Malhi.
