The occupation extends the arrest of 8 Jerusalemites and releases 9 others

The Magistrate and District courts’ judges extended on Thursday and Friday the arrest of 8 Jerusalemites and the Magistrate judge decided to release 9 others. Extensions of arrest… The judge extended the arrest of Wael Salaymeh until 22/4/2015, and Odai Bayoumi who is accused of “incitement on Facebook” until 2/4/2015. He also extended the arrest of Mouath Abulhawa until completing the legal procedures against him and a session was scheduled for him on 21/5/2105 and Mohammad Talhami until next Sunday. The lawyer added that the Magistrate judge extended the arrest of Yousef Abu Jom’a until 25/3/2015; note that the public prosecution submitted an indictment against him. Also, the judge extended the arrest of Shaker Mustafa until 23/3/2105 and a prosecutor’s permit was submitted to submit an indictment against him. The judge also extended the arrest of Issa Sawi until 6/5/2015 (sentencing session) and a session was scheduled for the child Hamzeh Syouri on 30/6/2015 for sentencing. The arrest of Mahmoud Abu Usba’ who is accused of stabbing two borders police individuals was also extended until 2/4/2015; an absentia session was held for him because he’s at the hospital receiving treatment. The lawyer added that his client Yousef Abu Ta’a was presented to the District court judge and was sentenced for 4 months of actual imprisonment and a fine of 2500 NIS; note that he is accused of assaulting a settler near Lions Gate. A session was scheduled for him on 2/4 to ratify the sentence and he will turn himself in next Sunday. Releases… Al-Dameer organization lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud, explained that the Magistrate judge decided to release Baker Aweis and Nour Zaghal with a 500-NIS bail, house arrest for 5 days and a third-party bail of 6 thousand NIS. The judge also released Nour Castero, Mohammad Qirresh and Mohammad Risheq with no conditions. He also decided to release Badawi Abu Asab and Issa Rweidi with a 500-NIS bail, house arrest for 5 days and a third-party bail of 5 thousand NIS.
