Sentencing four young Jerusalemite men

The Magistrate court judge sentenced on Tuesday four young Jerusalem men. Al-Dameer organization lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud, explained that the Magistrate judge sentenced Ahmad Zmurod from the village of Esawyeh for 12 months of actual imprisonment (a new sentence of 8 months and 4 months that were added as a suspended probation). The judge also sentenced Abdullah Abdo for 5 months of actual imprisonment, a suspended probation of 6 months for three years and a 4800-NIS fine. The judge also sentenced Omar Abulhawa for three months and one day of actual imprisonment, and a suspended probation of 4 months for two years. In a related matter, the District court approved the appeal submitted by the public prosecution regarding the sentence issued against Amjad Ghrouf “Al-Samri”. Lawyer Mahmoud explained that the judge decided to increase the sentence from 11 months to 14 months; note that the prosecution requested to imprison him for 20 months.
