Releasing the employee of reconstruction committee at Al-Aqsa and Dr Samir Shqeir

The Israeli occupation soldiers arrested on Wednesday an employee of the reconstruction committee at Al-Aqsa Mosque, Hussam Sider, and then released him without any conditions; note that he was interrogated at Al-Qishleh police station. The guards Hamzeh Nabali and Hussam Marmash were injured on Wednesday with bruises after they were assaulted by the occupation forces as they were working inside the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque. The forces also assaulted one woman when she was inside Al-Aqsa courtyards and the guards who were in the area confronted the forces and prevented them from arresting her which led to the breakout of clashes using hands with the forces. Releasing Dr Samir Shqeir The Israeli forces released on Wednesday night Dr Samir Shqeir after he was arrested from near his house in the neighborhood of Wadi Al-Rababeh. The forces assaulted Dr Shqeir during the arrest and interrogations and then released him after handing a 2000-NIS fine under the pretext of the presence of garbage and accumulation of soil in his house’s garden. Dr Shqeir explained that the forces surrounded his houses and his neighbors’ houses. When he arrived, he was surprised to find employees from the Nature and Parks Authority in addition to borders police individuals in the area. One soldier pointed at gun towards Dr Shqeir and asked him to stop and threatened to shoot him. Shqeir added that the forces arrested and assaulted him while he was in the police car. After transferring him to Salah Eddin Street police station, he was interrogated about works he has done to clean his yard. Dr Shqeir pointed out that the interrogation lasted until 11 p.m. On the other hand, the Israeli authorities released on Tuesday night the 24-year old Islam Bassam Jawdat Adwan from Ezaryeh with a 3000-NIS bail. Islam was serving a 42-month prison sentence in the Negev desert prison.
