Prison sentences…extensions of arrest and releases

The Magistrate judge extended last Wednesday the arrest of two young Jerusalemite men and released two other under conditions. Al-Dameer organization lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud, explained that the Magistrate judge extended the arrest of Majd Darwish until 19/5/2015 and Nidal Alayan until 17/5/2015; note  that they were arrested on Wednesday early morning after raiding their houses in the village of Esawyeh. Lawyer Mahmoud added that the judge released on Wednesday Walid Atyeh and Sufian Mahmoud on conditions of house-arrest for 8 days, a 1000-NIS bail and a third-party bail of 7 thousand NIS for each. In a related matter, lawyer Mahmoud said that the Magistrate judge sentenced last Tuesday Yousef Abu Jom’a for 7 months of actual imprisonment and an 1800-NIS fine. He also sentenced Mahdi Sayyad for 5 months of actual imprisonment, a 1000-NIS fine and a suspended probation of 3 months for three years. The lawyer also said that the judge extended the arrest of Mohammad Mughrabi, Amjad Qawwas, Joudeh Abu Jom’a and Mohammad Za’atra until 3/6/2015. He also extended the arrest of Mohammad Risheq and Hasan Gheith until 4/6/2015, Mohammad Zaghal until 9/6/2015, Rami Natsheh until 14/5/2015 and Fadi Salah who is accused of running over soldiers in Al-Tur until Friday. Lawyer Mahmoud also mentioned that the judge extended the arrest of Mohammad Talhami and Mohammad Abed Al-Razem until 12/7/2015, Mohammad Salaymeh until 21/5/2015 and Mohammad Suleiman until 23/6/2015. The judge also released Ahmad Al-Razem with a 1000-NIS bail, a third-party bail of 5 thousand NIS and house-arrest for 10 days; note that he allowed him to go to his school.
