In pictures: Demolishing three commercial stores and one apartment owned by Anis Karameh in Silwan
The occupation municipality’s bulldozers demolished on Tuesday early morning three commercial stores in the neighborhood of Ein Al-Lozeh in Silwan under the pretext of building without a permit. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that a large Israeli force including Special Forces and borders police along with a bulldozer raided the village of Silwan around 4 a.m. and surrounded the neighborhood of Ein Al-Lozeh (Hosh Abu Tayeh) and closed the roads leading to it and prevented citizens from approaching the area. The demolition was then executed in which three commercial stores and one under-construction apartment all owned by Anis Karameh were demolished. The occupation forces prevented Anis Karameh from approaching his stores and tried to assault him. Karameh explained that he had just finished building the stores two months ago which are not being used yet; the stores area is 200 square meters. Karameh added that the occupation’s bulldozer executed the demolition on top of construction tools, stones and bricks that were inside the stores. The residents warned of the danger of demolishing shops in the area which serves as supporting walls to a mounting in the “Hosh” and expressed their fears of the collapse of the mountain.
