In pictures: The child Yehya Sami Amoudi is critically injured in his eye
The 8-year old child Yehya Sami Amoudi was injured with a rubber bullet in his eye on Thursday after he was targeted by a sniper near Shu’fat refugee camp.
The child’s family explained that Yehya had just finished his school day and was on his way home when he got hit with a rubber bullet in the eye.
The family added that Yehya suffered fractures in the skull and around the left eye in addition to causing damage to his left ear. Yehya is currently undergoing a surgery in Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital and is supposed to have his left eye removed.
Thaer Fasfoos, spokesman of Fateh Movement in Shu’fat refugee camp, explained that the child was injured with a rubber bullet after he was targeted by the snipers stationed on Shweiki’s building across from the refugee camp.
