The locals of Jabal Al-Mukabber welcome Fares Eweisat after being isolated for 5 months
May 25, 2015

The locals of the village of Jabal Al-Mukabber welcomed on Sunday the 22-year old Fares Ayman Ahmad Eweisat after he was isolated from the city of Jerusalem for 5 months. Eweisat family explained that the occupation’s intelligence called their son Fares for interrogation at “Ofar” detention center in the West Bank two days before the isolation period was over, and threatened and warned him from participating and carrying out any activities in Jerusalem. Fares was isolated at the end of last year with an order from the so-called “Commander of Internal Front” under the pretext of “maintaining law and order” under article 6 and 108-109 from the “defense” law during emergency 1945. It is noteworthy that the occupation authorities isolated six young Jerusalemite men from the city of Jerusalem in the last few months for “security” reasons which is also among the policy of “collective punishment” practiced against Jerusalemites.
