Sentencing two Jerusalemites to actual imprisonment

The District and Magistrate judges sentenced on Tuesday two Jerusalemites for periods between 10-35 months of actual imprisonment. The head of Jerusalemites detainees and prisoners families committee, Amjad Abu Asab, explained that the Magistrate judge sentenced the 19-year old Ibrahim Samir Adnan Abdeen for 10 months of actual imprisonment after he was convicted of “incitement” on Facebook; Abdeen was arrested on 14/12/2015. The District judge sentenced Sheikh Saleh Barakat for 35 months of actual imprisonment after he was convicted of several unjust charges made up by the occupation security services; one of the charges was membership in Hamas movement. Barakat was arrested nearly a year ago. He is married and has a doctorate degree from Al-Yarmouk University. He is from the village of Beit Safafa and is considered one of the most prominent lecturers at Al-Aqsa education terraces (Masateb).
