The occupation extends the arrest of 9 Jerusalemites and releases two others
The Magistrate and District court judges extended on Tuesday the arrest of 9 Jerusalemites and released two others on condition of house-arrest. Extensions of arrest Al-Dameer organization lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud, explained that the Magistrate judge extended the arrest of Tawfiq Shweiki until 15/6/2015; note that he was arrested on Tuesday early morning from his house in the neighborhood of Al-Thori in Silwan. The lawyer added that the public prosecution submitted an indictment to the District court against Mohammad Ja’bari and Amer Abbasi that included charges of throwing Molotov Cocktails, and an indictment against Badawi Abu Asab that included charges of throwing a Molotov Cocktail towards a settler’s car in the Old City of Jerusalem; the judge extended their arrest as well as Daoud Abu Sbitan until 16/6/2015. Lawyer Mahmoud added that the Magistrate judge extended the arrest of Eid Shabaneh until 12/10/2015 for sentencing and Mohammad Zaghal until 16/7/2015. Odai Bayoumi was presented on Tuesday to the Magistrate court and the judge extended his arrest until 22/6/2015 for sentencing; he is charged of incitement on Facebook. The prosecution also submitted an indictment to the Magistrate court against Ahmad Eweisat that included charges of throwing stones and the judge extended his arrest until 17/6/2015. Releases Lawyer Mahmoud added that the judge released Amir Basti with a 1500-NIS, house-arrest for 5 days and a third-party bail of 5 thousand NIS. He also released Ahmad Mhalwes with a 500-NIS bail, house-arrest for 5 days and a 5-thousand NIS third-party bail.
