Esawyeh: Demolishing and sweeping 8 Dunoms of agricultural lands owned by Darwish family
The occupation’s bulldozers swept on Wednesday morning 8 Dunoms (8000 square meters) of agricultural lands owned by Darwish family in the village of Esawyeh and also demolished the establishments built on the lands. Mohammad Abu Hummos, follow-up committee in Esawyeh, explained that the municipality’s bulldozers and bulldozers from the Nature and Parks authority raided the farm of Darwish family on Wednesday morning and swept that land and removed more than 70 trees. They also demolished a room, kitchen and restroom built on the lands in addition to a well and surrounding walls. Abu Hummos added that the total area of the farm is around 8500 square meters. He confirmed that the occupation authorities refused to show the order of “demolition and sweeping” and prevented the citizens and owners of the land from approaching the sweeping and demolition process. Abu Hummos also explained that the occupation authorities seek to confiscate the lands in the southern part of the village despite a decision from the “Supreme County Council” which prohibits work in those lands and cancelled the so-called “national park” plan, but the occupation municipality and Nature and Parks authority sweep lands and remove trees every now and then.
