Clashes in the neighborhood of Wadi Hilweh

Limited clashes broke out on Thursday night in the neighborhood of Wadi Hilweh in Silwan after the occupation forces closed the road to secure the way of occupation forces in the area. Witnesses explained to Wadi Hilweh Information Center that the occupation forces closed the road of Dung Gate to secure it for a group of occupation soldiers and prevented the locals of Silwan from using the road while settlers were allowed to use without any obstacles. Verbal altercations and clashes using hands broke out between the locals and occupation forces. Witnesses added that Special Forces raided the road of “Dung Gate” and were deployed in the area. The forces deliberately limited the movement of locals and provoke the young men who threw stones towards the forces and led to the injury of three occupation forces personnel with wounds; note that two of them were transferred to the hospital for treatment. On the other hand, the occupation forces were stationed at the entrances of Al-Ein area and Wadi Al-Rababa and stopped the cars and checked the IDs of the passengers.
