Arresting Suhaib Al-A’war and searching houses in Silwan

The occupation masked Special Forces arrested on Sunday night the 18-year old free prisoner Suhaib Arafat Al-A’war who is a resident of the neighborhood of Ein Al-Lozeh in Silwan. Wadi Hilweh Information Center-Silwan was informed that the occupation forces along with a masked undercover police person (Musta’reb) raided the house of Emad Ahmad Al-Qaq Sunday night after surrounding the house from all sides. The forces searched the house and claimed that Emad threw stones at Israeli forces; Emad denied the charges. The forces also raided the house of Emad’s father and woke up his son Ziad and accused him of throwing stones. The forces then searched the father’s house and during the search, the freed prisoner Suhaib Al-A’war who is Emad’s cousin visited them and the masked Musta’reb accused him of throwing stones and confiscated a shirt and a hat from the house of Al-Qaq family and claimed that he was wearing them. Emad explained that the Israeli forces attacked and pushed him and his brother Ziad and also got into verbal alterations with the father of Suhaib Al-A’war. It is noteworthy that the 18-year old Suhaib Arafat Al-A’war was freed at the beginning of the current year after spending 24 months in the Israeli prisons. In a related matter, the occupation forces raided on Sunday night the house of Siam family in the neighborhood of Ein Al-Lozeh in Silwan under the pretext of looking for children who threw stones. While the forces were chasing the children in Ein Al-Lozeh Street, they fired sound grenades towards them and towards the residential houses. The occupation harassed minors and children in Silwan on a daily basis under the pretext of throwing stones. The children run towards the nearby houses which became subject for daily raids without taking into consideration the situation of the residents.
