Sentencing three Jerusalemites from Jabal Al-Mukabber…extensions of arrest
The District court in Jerusalem sentenced on Monday three Jerusalemites prisoners from the village of Jabal Al-Mukabber after convicting them of planning to carry out military attacks against Israeli targets. The head of Jerusalemites detainees and prisoners families committee, Amjad Abu Asab, explained that the judge sentenced the 20-year old Anas Jawad Ibrahim Aweisat and the 21-year old Basel Ahmad Mahmoud Obeidat for 8 years of actual imprisonment; they were arrested on 14/1/2014. The judge also sentenced the 22-year old Ahmad Khaled Sroor for 7 years of actual imprisonment; Sroor was arrested on 3/2/2014. The court session of Amro Abdo was postponed until 24/6/2015; Abdo is currently suffering a bad health condition. Extension of arrest In a related matter, Al-Dameer organization lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud explained that the Magistrate judge extended the arrest of Mahmoud Hadyeh and Mohammad Tawil until 29/6/2015, and Tawfiq Shweiki, Basel Shweiki, Mohammad Alayan and Mohammad Ribhi Alayan until next Sunday. The judge also extended the arrest of Amer Bazlameet until Tuesday (16/6/2015), Shadi Alayan until Thursday and the freed prisoner Suhaib Al-A’war until Wednesday.
