The occupation arrests seven children from the neighborhood of Beit Hanina
The Musta’ribeen (undercover) unit arrested on Tuesday night seven children from the neighborhood of Beit Hanina north of Jerusalem. Al-Dameer organization lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud, explained that the occupation forces arrested seven children and transferred them to the police center in the settlement of “Nabi Yacoub” which is established on the lands of Beit Hanina. According to the initial available information, the occupation arrested Mohammad Jaber (13), Murad Alqam (14), Nour Eddin Abu Hadwan (15), Omar Tawil (14), Omar Yassin (14) who is an American citizen, Mohammad Tayeh and Saleh Shtayyeh (15). The children explained that the forces assaulted and beat them during the arrest using the butts of their guns; signs of beating were obvious on their faces. The police accused the children of throwing stones. The children explained to the lawyer that they were near “Shuman” Mosque in the neighborhood of Beit Hanina after finishing the “Tarweeh” Prayer and a Musta’ribeen force attacked and arrested them. They also explained that they were severely beaten during the arrest and while they were inside the police vehicles and the interrogation centers.
