The Israeli prosecution decides to appeal the releasing conditions of the Islamic Awqaf employees
The public prosecution appealed on Wednesday the Magistrate court’s decision not to isolate four of the Islamic Awqaf employees and one young man from Al-Aqsa Mosque. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the Magistrate judge decided to release one young man and four of Al-Awqaf employees without any conditions. They are: Director of the Department of manuscripts Radwan Amro, Raed Zghayar, Husam Sider, Fadi Bakir and Majdi Abbasi; note that they were arrested on Tuesday from Al-Aqsa Mosque on charges of assaulting an Israeli settler who raised the Israeli flag inside Al-Aqsa courtyards. After the detainees were released, the public prosecutions appealed the judge’s decision and requested to isolate them from Al-Aqsa Mosque for 90 days in addition to house-arrest for 5 days, signing a 5000-NIS third-party bail and paying a 1500-NIS bail. A session will be held on Thursday at the District court to discuss the appeal submitted by the prosecution. It is noteworthy that lawyers Ramzi Kateelat and Hamzeh Qutteineh from Qudsuna organization for Human Rights and lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud from Al-Dameer organization lawyer defended the employees of the Islamic Awqaf.
