The occupation decides to isolate one young man and four of Al-Awqaf employees from Al-Aqsa Mosque for 10 days
The District judge decided on Thursday to isolate five Jerusalemites from Al-Aqsa Mosque for 10 days on charges of assaulting an Israeli settler who raised the Israeli flag inside Al-Aqsa courtyards.
They are: Young man Majdi Abbasi and Al-Aqsa guard Fadi Bakir, Director of the Department of manuscripts Radwan Amro, Raed Zghayar and Husam Sider.
The public prosecutions appealed the Magistrate judge’s decision to release the five Jerusalemites without any conditions and requested to isolate them from Al-Aqsa Mosque for 90 days in addition to house-arrest for 5 days, signing a 5000-NIS third-party bail and paying a 1500-NIS bail. The District judge decided to isolate them for 10 days after hearing the defense and public prosecution.
It is noteworthy that lawyers Ramzi Kateelat and Hamzeh Qutteineh from Qudsuna organization for Human Rights and lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud from Al-Dameer organization lawyer defended the employees of the Islamic Awqaf.
A number of Al-Aqsa guards and several young men demonstrated on Thursday in front of the District Court in support of the employees of the Islamic Awqaf and Al-Aqsa guards who are continuously being arrested and assaulted while doing their work.
The occupation police supported by the dogs-unit attempted to provoke the participants and forced them to stay away from the court building.
