The occupation municipality's bulldozers demolished on Wednesday morning a residential building under construction in the neighborhood of Wad Al-Joz in Jerusalem under the pretext of building without a permit; the building is owned by Tutanji and Totah families. Witnesses explained to Wadi Hilweh Information Center that large Israeli forces including Special Forces, Calvary units, police and borders police raided the "Fire Department" Street around 4 a.m. and closed it before surrounding the building. Witnesses added that two bulldozers demolished the under-construction residential building. According to the owners, the building has been under construction for 9 months with a total area of 550 square meters. They added that it consits of three floors (180 square meters each) and has six residential apartments. The owners also added that the occupation municipality issued an order to demolish the residential building under the pretext of building without a permit despite the fact that one apartment in the building has been established before 1967 (before the occupation of Jerusalem) and they tried to obtain a permit to renovate the building but the municipality rejected their request.
