Wounded in his head…extending the arrest of the freed prisoner Ibrahim Salah

The Magistrate judge extended the arrest of the 55-year old freed prisoner Ibrahim Salah who is accused of stabbing an Israeli soldier in the area of Damascus Gate until next Thursday (3/9/2015). Al-Dameer organization lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud, explained that his client Salah was presented to the Magistrate judge after undergoing a surgery to stitch a wound in his head which he suffered due to being assaulted by the Israeli forces under the pretext of stabbing a soldier in the area of Damascus Gate in Jerusalem; the judge extended his arrest until 3/9/2015. Lawyer Mahmoud explained that Salah is from Bethlehem and was released at the end of 2013 within the third phase of releasing veteran prisoners which was done by Netanyahu’s government as a good faith initiative to strengthen confidence between them and the Palestinians.
