Extending the arrest of 12 Jerusalemites

The District and Magistrate judge extended the arrest of 12 Jerusalemites. Al-Dameer organization lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud, explained that the Magistrate judge extended the arrest of Ameed Obeid until 3/9/2015. The prosecution submitted an indictment to the District court against the 18-year old Mohammad Shallodi that included charges of throwing stones at a settler’s car in Beit Hanina; the judge extended his arrest until 7/9/2015. The District judge extended the arrest of Wisam Castero, Ahmad Bakri, Emad Bakri, Wahid Bakri and Mahdi Syaj until 7/9/2015. Lawyer Mahmoud added that the Magistrate judge extended last Thursday the arrest of Mohammad Abu Ghannam and Ahmad Abulhawa until Monday the 31st of August, 2015. Naeem Abu Sara was presented to the District judge and was indefinitely postponed until the so-called “conduct officer” releases his report. Wadi Hilweh Information Center’s lawyer explained that the District judge extended the arrest of Ala’ Al-Qaq until completing the legal procedures against him. The prosecution also submitted indictments against Haitham Barakat and Mohammad Abu Nab and they were both extended until 10/9/2015. The judge decided on Sunday to release the child Khader Abu Ghannam with a 1000-NIS bail, a third-party bail and house-arrest for 5 days.
