Ras Al-Amoud: the occupation police runs over a young man…injuring a girl and five citizens

Six Jerusalemites including one girl were injured and one young man was arrested during clashes that broke out in the neighborhood of Ras Al-Amoud in Silwan after the occupation forces ran over one young man and injured him with several bruises. Wadi Hilweh Information Center explained that the forces established a checkpoint near Silwan Club in Ras Al-Amoud and pulled over vehicles to check the IDs and the driving license for drivers resulting in the breakout of verbal altercations between them and one young man under the pretext of driving without a license. Running over Zaki Al-Razem… The center added that a police vehicle ran over the 34-year old Zaki Al-Razem while crossing the street in the area of Ras Al-Amoud. Al-Razem explained to the center that he was crossing the road when a police vehicle quickly took off and ran him over causing him to fall on the ground. Two policemen hit him and moved him away from the street despite his injury. He added that dozens of young men gathered in the area after the police attempted to flee from the area. Al-Razem added that he lost consciousness for nearly half an hour and was transferred to Al-Maqased hospital in the Red Crescent ambulance. After conducting the necessary check-up, it was revealed that he suffered various bruises in his leg, back and pelvis. He pointed out that the police came to the hospital while he was being treated and requested him to attend interrogation. The center also added that the forces arrested Jihad Zaghal from the neighborhood of Ras Al-Amoud and transferred him to Salah Eddin Street police station. Clashes and injuries The center explained that clashes broke out and spread from Silwan Club until the entrance of the street in which Israeli forces randomly fired sound grenades and sprayed pepper gas towards the residents and passers-by which led to the suffocation of 5 Jerusalemites.
