September 7, 2015

The occupation forces arrested one woman and prevented dozens others from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque on Monday while allowing a settler to practice his religious rituals inside the Mosque. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the occupation forces arrested Hanadi Halawani near Al-Qataneen Gate and transferred her for interrogation. The police prevented a group of women listed in the “Black List” from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque after checking their IDs and detaining them at the checkpoints established at Al-Aqsa gates. Also, several men were also prevented from entering Al-Aqsa depending on the “mood” of the police personnel and detained the IDs of those allowed to go in. On Monday, 27 settlers broke into Al-Aqsa and one settler practiced his religious ritual near the area of Al-Hursh under heavy protection by the Israeli police. For the third consecutive week, women continue to be stationed at Al-Aqsa gates while the police continue to harass them by detaining them at the iron barriers established at the gates where they prevented from moving and often assaulted and pushed.
