Extending the arrest of 12 Jerusalemites and releasing five others
September 8, 2015

The District and Magistrate judges extended on Monday the arrest of 12 Jerusalemites and released five others. Wadi Hilweh Information Center’s lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud, explained that the occupation police released the 12-year old Aziz Ghassan Alayan unconditionally; note that he was arrested after raiding his house in the village of Esawyeh. The lawyer added that the Magistrate judge decided to release Issa Firawi (13) on condition of house-arrest for 5 days and a third-party bail of 3 thousand NIS. The judge extended the arrest of Nasri Firawi until 10/9/2015. The judge also decided to release Shadi Murqusto with a 500-NIS bail, a third-party bail of 5 thousand NIS and house-arrest for 5 days knowing that the public prosecution submitted a prosecutor’s permit to submit an indictment against Murqusto in the last court session but releasing him and not submitting an indictment against him shows that there is no evidence against him. On the other hand, Al-Dameer organization lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud explained that the Magistrate judge extended the arrest of Abdulrahman Hadreh (19) UNTIL 8/9/2015. Also, the District judge extended the arrest of Shadi Alayan until 6/10/2015 and the two minors Rami Natsheh and Ziad Natsheh until 21/9/2015 for sentencing. Lawyer Mahmoud added that the District judge extended the arrest of Wisam Castero, Ahmad Bakri, Wahid Bakri, Emad Bakri and Mahdi Syaj until 14/10/2015 to challenge the evidence. A session was held at the District court for Mohammad Shallodi (conduct officer’s report) and the judge extended his arrest indefinitely, and extended the arrest of Mohammad Atyeh until 12/10/2015. The Magistrate judge also extended the arrest of Yazan Alayan until 20/10/2015 and decided to release Mohammad Ibrahim Alayan and Mahmoud Mustafa unconditionally.
