Clashes in Jerusalem…isolating a woman from Al-Aqsa…and arresting a minor
September 8, 2015

The occupation intelligence isolated on Monday the Jerusalemite Hanadi Halawani from Al-Aqsa Mosque for 6 months after she was arrested and interrogated for several hours at Al-Qishleh police station. On the other hand, clashes broke out in several neighborhoods around Jerusalem on the first anniversary of the Martyrdom of the 16-year old Mohammad Sinokrot (passed away after he was targeted with a rubber bullet while heading to the mosque near his house). Clashes broke out in the neighborhood of Wad Al-Joz near the Martyr’s house where the forces were also stationed. They fired sound grenades and the young men responded with firecrackers. In Silwan, clashes broke out in the neighborhood of Bi’er Ayoub and two young men were injured by shrapnel of sound grenades. Clashes spread to near areas and the forces heavily fired tear gas. In Al-Tur, a group of young men threw Molotov Cocktails towards the Israeli police vehicles and a large force raided the village and was deployed in the main street. Firecrackers were also thrown towards the settlement of Bet Aort in the neighborhood of Al-Sowaneh. He activist Ala’ Haddad explained that the forces arrested the 16-year old Abdelkarim Haddad from the Old City of Jerusalem.
