Releasing 20 Jerusalemites and extending the arrest of five others including a child
The District and Magistrate judge decided to release 20 Jerusalemites on Sunday and extended the arrest of 5 others including a child. Wadi Hilweh Information Center’s lawyer explained that the occupation authorities unconditionally released the children Sharif Abu Mayaleh, Sufian Idris, Ismaeel Annous, Ala’ Bazlameet, Hamzeh Syouri, Ahmad Naser and Mohammad Naser They also released Mohammad Abu Jom’a, Usama Rajabi and Eyad Shweiki with a third-party bail of 5 thousand NIS and house-arrest for 5 days. The center’s lawyer added that the Magistrate judge decided to extend the arrest of the 13-year old Tayseer Natsheh until Tuesday; note that he was arrested on Sunday night from the area of Herod’s Gate on charges of throwing an empty bottle towards the occupation soldiers stationed in the area. Al-Dameer organization lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud, explained that the Magistrate judge extended the arrest of Majd Shkeirat until Tuesday and the child Abdel Naser Odeh until the beginning of October; Odeh is being interrogated at Al-Maskobyeh cells. The authorities released Ahmad Ashayer, Salman Abu Sbitan, Mohammad Abulhawa, Mohammad Abu Nijmeh and Amir Abu Nijmeh with a third-party bail of 5 thousand NIS and house-arrest for 5 days, and unconditionally released Bashar Abu Rajab. The lawyer also added that the prosecution submitted a prosecutor’s permit to submit an indictment against the activists Wahid Marazeeq and Samer Abu Eisheh and the judge extended their arrest until the beginning of next month. The authorities also released Ali Sabri Abu Diab (20) on condition of house-arrest for 5 days and banned him from going to the area of Wad Al-Rababeh in Silwan for 10 days in addition to signing a third-party bail of 5 thousand NIS. Also, the 19-year old Ahmad Jalal Al-A’war was released on condition of house-arrest for 5 days and a third-party bail of 5 thousand NIS. Ziad Ahmad Al-Qaq (21) and Ala’ Tawfiq Abu Tayeh (17) were also released on condition of house-arrest for 5 days and a third-party bail of 5 thousand NIS and a ban on going to the road leading to the settlement outpost ‘Bet Yonatan” in Silwan.
