Demolishing the houses of the Martyrs’ families…Ja’abees, Hijazi and Abu Jamal using explosives
The occupation authorities execute an operation of demolishing using explosives and closing a room using cement to the houses of the Martyrs Mohammad Ja’abees and Ghassan Abu Jamal in the village of Jabal Al-Mukabber and Mutaz Hijazi in Silwan. Wadi Hilweh Information Center (WHIC) was informed that explosives experts used explosives to demolish the houses of Mohammad Ja’abees and Ghassan Abu Jamal while the occupation authorities closed the room of Mutaz Hijazi with cement. During the operation, damage was caused to the neighboring houses. The forces raided the houses of the Martyrs Mohammad Ja’abees and Ghassan Abu Jamal in Jabal Al-Mukabber and Mutaz Hijazi in Silwan after midnight Monday. WHIC was informed from the Martyrs’ families that large Israeli forces including Special Forces and Intelligence raided their houses and evacuated them and detained them in an area outside their houses and prevented them from moving in order to execute the demolition process. The forces had raided the surrounding of the houses in the past few days and took pictures inside the houses and the roads leading to them. The forces assaulted Ala’ Abu Jamal and damaged some of the furniture of the houses before evacuating them. Ja’abees family explained that the forces suppressed any person that attempted to approach the Martyrs house with sound grenades. The 20-year old Martyr Mohammad Nayef Ja’abees from the village of Jabal Al-Mukabber passed away on 4/8/2014 after he was shot with 47 bullets from close distance after colliding with an “Egged” bus in Street number “1” across from the neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah. It is noteworthy that the Martyr was at work and had just had lunch with his supervisor and colleagues but the Israeli authorities insist that he carried out an attack using his bulldozer. On the other hand, the 32-year old Martyr Ja’abees who is a freed prisoner passed away on 30/10/2014 after he was assassinated by an Israeli Special Force when they surrounded him on the roof of his house in the neighborhood of Al-Thori in Silwan under the pretext of opening fire towards the extremist Rabbi Yehuda Glick in West Jerusalem. The 32-year old Martyr Ghassan Mohammad Abu Jamal and 21-year old Martyr Odai Abed Abu Jamal passed away on 18/11/2014 after they attacked a Jewish synagogue in the area of “Har Nov” in the village of Der Yassin in Jerusalem; the occupation closed the house of Odai with cement last July.
