The occupation municipality crews raid the villages of Esawyeh and Silwan
Joint crews from the occupation forces, municipality and tax authorities raided the villages of Esawyeh and Silwan within the collective punishment police imposed against Jerusalemites. Witnesses from Silwan said that the municipality crews raided the neighborhoods of Ein Al-Lozeh and Bi’er Ayoub in Silwan and took pictures of some commercial establishments and the entrances of residential neighborhoods. In the neighborhood of Ras Al-Amoud, the police randomly issued traffic tickets to vehicles parked in the main street. The municipality crews took measurements of “Al-Dahra and Hosh Mheisen” Streets in the village of Esawyeh and also took pictures of the streets. Tax authorities also raided the village of Esawyeh and were stationed neat the commercial stores. On the other hand, the occupation police are still preventing construction materials from entering the village of Esawyeh. Mohammad Abu Hummos, member of follow-up committee in the village, explained that the occupation authorities prevent any construction materials from entering the village and locals are still suffering from the checkpoints established on the village’s entrances.
