The Martyrdom of the girl Hadeel Wajih Awwad and injury of another
The Jerusalemite girl Hadil Wajih Awwad passed away on Monday while her cousin Nourhan Awwad was shot and injured by the occupation forces after attempting to carry out a “stabbing attack” in Mahane Yehuda market in West Jerusalem. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the occupation forces opened fire towards the two girls resulting in the Martyrdom of Hadeel and critical injury of Nourhan. According to information available from the occupation police, the two girls arrived at the market and were holding scissors in their hands and tried to stab Israeli people in the area; fire was opened towards them. The Martyr and her cousin are between 14-16 years of age and are residents of the neighborhood of Matar – Qalandia north of Jerusalem. Recordings showed the method of murdering Hadeel and injuring Nourhan by the occupation forces (one was in civil clothes); they were shot from close distance. One of the girls was hit by a chair and fell on the ground and was then shot.
