The Martyrdom of a Palestinian youth in West Jerusalem
A Palestinian young man passed away on Saturday morning after being shot by the occupation forces at the entrance of Jaffa Street in West Jerusalem. A witness who was waiting to cross the street explained that the individuals from a Cavalry Unit shot the young man when he was in the courtyard across from New Gate near the entrance of Jaffa Street. The witness added that the forces asked the young man to stand him when he was sitting on a bench in the area. When he stood up, the forces heavily opened fire towards him; he was first shot in the legs and in the chest afterwards. The occupation police did not announce any injuries among the occupation forces and claimed that the forces shot him under the pretext of attempting to carry out a stabbing attack as he was holding a knife. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the Martyr is the 27-year old Mousab Mahmoud Ghazali from the neighborhood of Wad Qaddoum in Silwan.
