Arresting 6 Jerusalemites
The occupation forces arrested six Jerusalemites from Shu’fat refugee camp and the Old City of Jerusalem. Amjad Abu Asab, head of Jerusalemites detainees and prisoners families committee, explained that the forces arrested 24-year old Ishaq Ghateet, 12-year old Ahmad Ghateet and 13-year old Ahmad Rajabi from Shu’fat refugee camp. The forces also arrested 18-year old Mansour Salim, 16-year old Mahmoud Salim and 17-year old Mohammad Abu Farha from the Old City of Jerusalem. In a related matter, the Magistrate judge sentenced the child Mahdi Abu Diab for 5 months of actual imprisonment, a suspended probation of 4 months for two years and also imposed a 2500-NIS fine on him as explained by lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud. The lawyer added that the Magistrate judge extended the arrest of Naser Abu Ghannam until 31/12/2015; Emran Joulani until 18/1/2016 (conduct officer’s report); Nader Abdo, Malek Sroor, Tawfiq Abu Dheim, Ahmad Aweisat and Ali Aweisat until 31/12/2015 to submit indictments against them and Mahmoud Abulhawa until 17/3/2016 (witnesses’ hearing session). The judge also extended the arrest of Mohammad Samir Abulhawa, Daoud Abulhawa and Sufian Abulhawa until 12/04/2016 and the child Mohammad Haymooni until completing the legal procedures against him. Also, the judge extended the arrest Mohammad Abbasi, Ahmad Ghazzawi, Ibrahim Ghazzawi and Mohammad Jayousi indefinitely, Sufian Far’on until 31/12/2015, Hussam Alayan until 31/1/2016, Mohammad Taha until 21/1/2016 and Saeed Qumboz until 3/1/2016. The judge decided to release the child Ala’ Abdo with a third-party bail and house-arrest for 7 days while allowing him to go to his school. The judge also decided to release the child Mohammad Atrash on condition of deportation from his home and a bail but the public prosecution decided to appeal the judge’s decision.
