January 8, 2016

Last Sunday, settlers dug holes the house of Sub Laban family in the neighborhood of “Oqbat Al-Khaldyeh” in the Old City of Jerusalem. Sub Laban family explained that the family was surprised to find holes in the walls of the children’s room. Holes were dug by settlers who seized the property of “Qaisi” family adjacent to their house last month. The family explained that they found six holes in the children’s room that were done using light hand tools. Sub Laban family informed the police which came and asked the settler to fix the damages without taking any action towards him. Settlement organizations are attempting to seize the house of Sub Laban family as they claim to own the property from before 1948. The family is waiting on the Israeli Supreme Court’s decision after challenging the District Court’s decision which decided to evacuate the house in favor of the settlers.
