Jabal Al-Mukabber: The occupation municipality demolishes an under-construction home
The occupation municipality’s bulldozers demolished on Wednesday morning an under-construction home in the village of Jabal Al-Mukabber south of Jerusalem without prior notice and under the pretext of building without a permit. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the house is owned by Ibrahim Ali Mousa Surri and located in Al-Sal’a neighborhood in Jabal Al-Mukabber. Surri explained that the house is still under construction and he was doing the final touches and was planning to move-in in the next few weeks along with his family of 6 individuals. A month ago, the municipality handed him an order to stop building and he attempted to obtain a building permit but the municipality executed the demolition this morning. Surri added that the house is 60 square meters and cost him nearly 130 thousand NIS in addition to 80 thousand NIS for building the wall around the land. He also explained that he started the building process last April.
