Acquitting a Jerusalemite child…prison sentences…extensions of arrest…releases

Tags: The occupation authorities released the 17-year old Ibrahim Hasan Manasra after acquitting him of charges against him. Al-Maskobyeh police released the child after detaining him for 5 months in the occupation’s prisons on charges of attempting to kidnap a soldier’s weapon and assault him. He was arrested after the occupation forces raided his home after the Martyrdom of his 15-year old brother Hasan in the settlement of Pisgat Zi’ev. The occupation authorities are still detaining the body of the child Hasan Manasra who passed away on 12/10/2015. In a related matter, the occupation police released Abdel Salam Abu Ghazaleh, father of Martyr Thaer Abu Ghazaleh, after interrogating him for several hours at Salah Eddin Street police station; he was arrested from the area of Herod’s Gate in Jerusalem. Prison sentences… Lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud explained that the judge sentenced Eyad Jandal for 7 months of actual imprisonment and a suspended probation of 10 months for three years. The judge also approved the prosecution’s request to increase the sentence of 17-year old Samer Hamzeh Shallodi and added two more months to the sentence making it 7 months instead of 5. Extensions of arrest… On the other hand, lawyer Mahmoud explained that the judges extended the arrest of the child Akram Mustafa until 3/4/2016, Nour Abu Rmeileh until 7/3/2016, Abed Abu Khatee until 8/3/2016, Ahmad Qawasmi until 16/3/2016, the child Mohammad Mahmoud and Issa Abu Rayyaleh until 3/3/2016, Ahmad Abu Roumi and Adam Abu Shamala and Ahmad Abu Eisheh until 22/3/2016, Mohammad Hadreh until 5/4/2016, Tarek Darwish and Abed Abu Khdeir until 2/3/2016, Mohammad Abu Ghannam until 7/3/2016 and Ibrahim Abulhawa until 4/4/2016. The judge also extended the arrest of the children Saleh Shtayyeh, Mohammad Tayeh, Omar Yassin, Zein Tawil, azan Ayoub, Mohammad Jaber and Murad Alqam until 16/3/2016 for sentencing. Also, the judge extended the arrest of Mohammad Shalabi until 3/4/2016, Naeem Abu Sara until 8/3/2016, Samer Hamdan until 3/3/2016, Ibrahim Shweiki until 23/3/2016 and Suhaib Al-A’war until 23/3/2016 for sentencing. The judge postponed the court session of Shifa’ Shallodi until 13/3/2016 while keeping the house-arrest imposed on her since last October. Releases The judge released the child Laith Abu Khdeir on condition of staying away from the light rail for 60 days, and released Sharif Abu Mayaleh with a 500-NIS bail and house-arrest for 5 days. He also released the child Mohammad Mughrabi with an 800-NIS bail, house-arrest for 4 days and a third-party bail. Also, Nader Abdo was unconditionally released and the two minors Emad Sarandah and Ahmad Awad and Munir Mahmoud were released with a third-party bail.
