Pictures: 30 people participate in the funeral of Martyr Mohammad Nimer
Only 30 Jerusalemites were able to participate in the funeral of 37-year old Martyr Mohammad Abed Nimer after Monday midnight in “Al-Mujahedeen” Cemetery in Herod’s Gate in Jerusalem amid tight Israeli restrictions around the cemetery and the roads leading to it.
The occupation authorities closed the surrounding of Al-Mujahedeen Cemetery and the roads leading to it around 11 p.m. in preparation for the releasing process of Martyr Mohammad Nimer; the occupation intelligence conditioned the presence of only 30 people in the funeral and conditioned the family to immediately bury the body.
Around midnight and after the Martyr’s family entered the cemetery, the intelligence released the body; the family immediately carried out the funeral’s procedures and buried the body.
The Martyr’s father, Nimer, expressed his satisfaction after burying the body of his son which was detained in the occupation’s freezers for 181 days and said: “God has blessed us by burying Mohammad’s body in Jerusalem and we wish the same blessing for the remaining bodies of Jerusalemite Martyrs.”
Nimer explained that more than 10 bullets went through the body of his son.
Al-Dameer organization lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud, who was present during the releasing process explained that the Israeli intelligence were committed today to the Supreme Court’s recommendations as the body of Mohammad wasn’t frozen when released and was in an acceptable condition for burying. The body was detained for a long time which of course affected it but the releasing process and funeral went smooth.
In regards to the dissection of the body and stealing body parts, lawyer Mahmoud said: “The discussion about stealing body parts can only be determined by doctors and specialists and couldn’t be determined by only looking at the body for several minutes.”
