Tens of thousands of Palestinians performed the second Friday Prayer of the holy month of Ramadan at Al-Aqsa Mosque despite the Israeli restrictions at the checkpoints established on the entrances of the city of Jerusalem.

The Islamic Awqaf department explained that more than 200 thousand Palestinians performed the second Friday Prayer of Ramadan at Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The occupation police established checkpoints on the entrances of the city of Jerusalem and streets and roads leading to Al-Aqsa Mosque and deployed infantry units in the Old City of Jerusalem; they also closed several streets and prevented vehicles from passing through.

The forces prevented men under the age of 45 from entering Jerusalem through the checkpoints established on its entrances under the pretext of not having a permit to enter Jerusalem.
