Forming a new police unit to execute arrests in Jerusalem…a wide series of arrests in Jerusalem

The occupation forces carried out a series of arrests in the city of Jerusalem on Thursday morning.

Lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud explained that the occupation police formed today a new unit stationed at Al-Qishleh police center to execute arrests against Jerusalemites and look after throwers of stones and Molotov Cocktails.

The center was informed that the occupation authorities executed several arrests since the morning hours in the Old City of Jerusalem, Silwan and Sur Baher.

Lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud explained that the Israeli forces arrested 15-year old Yousef Jawdat Shawish, 19-year old Ahmad Yaser Al-Razem and 26-year old Rami Fakhouri from the Old City of Jerusalem and Obada Ameereh from the village of Sur Baher.

The center was informed that the Israeli forces also arrested 23-year old Ziad Al-Qaq and Mahdi Yousef Abu Diab while 19-year old Fouad Al-Qaq turned himself-in to the police after they had raided his home in Silwan and requested him for interrogation.

Amjad Abu Asab, head of Jerusalemites detainees and prisoners families committee explained that the forces also arrested Mohammad Abu Shousheh, Mohammad Nadi Hashlamon (18), Ahmad Shawish, Hisham Mohammad Bashiti (16) and journalist photographer Eyad Tawil and his father.
