Dozens of Israeli settlers broke into the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque during the morning and afternoon break-in sessions on “Yom Kippur”; they were protected by Special Forces.

Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that 184 settlers broke into Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of Special Forces, police and intelligence personnel who were deployed in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa.

Witnesses added that settlers broke-in in the form of consecutive groups since the morning hours while the IDs of Muslim worshippers were seized at the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque and several young men were prevented from entering.

Releases and isolations from Al-Aqsa Mosque

On the other hand, the occupation authorities decided to release Naser Qos, head of Prisoner’s Club in Jerusalem, on conditions of isolation from Al-Aqsa Mosque for 45 days and a 500-NIS bail in addition to a third-party bail. They also handed Mohammad Jihad Za’tari an order banning him from entering the West Bank for 20 days while Mohammad Daqqaq was isolated from Al-Aqsa for three months.

Daqqaq explained that the authorities previously isolated him from Al-Aqsa and the Old City of Jerusalem several times for periods between 15 days and 4 months.
