October 11, 2016

The body of 20-year old Martyr Ali Shyoukhi was buried after midnight at Al-Sawahreh Cemetery in Jerusalem.

Jerusalemites marched in the funeral of Ali Shyoukhi from Silwan, his hometown, towards Al-Sawahreh Cemetery immediately after announcing his Martyrdom amid chants praising the Martyr.

Shyoukhi was shot in the pelvis during clashes in the neighborhood of Ein Al-Lozeh in Silwan and the ambulance was not able to reach him due to the closure imposed on the area by the occupation forces. He was left bleeding for nearly two hours before his Martyrdom was announced.

Immediately afterwards, young men marched in the Martyr’s funeral to prevent detaining him by the occupation forces.

Martyr Shyoukhi was previously arrested several times. His first arrest was with his twin brother Mohammad when they were only 12, while the last arrested was on 8/10/2014 and was sentenced for 15 months; he was released last December.
