Judgment against Two Jerusalemite Children with Actual Imprisonment
On Wednesday, District Court judges issued a judgment of actual imprisonment “within the internal institutions”, against two Jerusalemite children on charges of “possession of a knife and attempted murder”.
Lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud, one of the defending staff of the two children Shadi Anwar Farrah, age 13, and Ahmad Raed Zaatari, age 13, explained that the District Court judges sentenced both children with actual imprisonment of two years which will be spent in internal institutions.
Mahmoud added that the period in the first year of Zaatari and Farrah’s arrest will not be counted from the actual sentence of 24 months; the implementation of the judgment began since the end of last October.
Israeli Forces arrested the two children Zaatari and Farrah at the end of 2015 from the light rail station in Jerusalem, and were transferred for investigation, then to an internal institute “which is more like a prison”.
