The occupation authorities demolish a storage, parking garage and a construction material store in Silwan
The occupation municipality’s bulldozers demolished a storage, parking garage and surrounding walls in the neighborhood of Abbasyeh in Silwan, and also demolished a construction material store in Wad Qaddoum, Silwan under the pretext of building without a permit.
Large Israeli forces raided Abbasyeh neighborhood along with the municipality’s bulldozers and police dogs. They closed all of the neighborhood’s entrances and proceeded with the demolition operation. Radwan Amro, owner of the demolished property, said: “We were surprised this morning to see the occupation forces raid the neighborhood and demolish the parking garage and the storage along with the surrounding walls that have been established since 1967.
He added: “The demolition came without prior notice. The lawyer informed us few days ago that the court postponed the demolition order and to expect high fines instead of the demolition but the municipality demolished the property without any legal base.” He also pointed out that the forces raided the property few days ago and took pictures.
Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the municipality’s bulldozers also demolished a construction material store owned by Nassar family in Wadi Qaddoum, Silwan under the pretext of building without a permit.
