The injury of one child and a young man with shrapnel of sound grenades in Silwan

One child and one young man were injured by shrapnel of sound grenades fired by the occupation forces towards the people participating in the welcoming ceremony of freed prisoner Tawfiq Shweiki in Al-Thori, Silwan. 

Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that 6-year old Adam Akram Shweiki was injured in his face by shrapnel of a sound grenade while another young man was injured in his leg; they were both transferred to the hospital for treatment. 

The occupation forces raided the welcoming ceremony of freed prisoner Tawfiq Shweiki in Silwan after he had spent 22 months in prison. They fired sound grenades towards the participants.  

In a related matter, the occupation forces also raided Al-Bustan neighborhood in Silwan on Wednesday night and stopped a bus, checked the passengers’ IDs, dismounted a young man and detained him for some time.
