Demolition orders to residential establishments in Silwan
January 27, 2017

The occupation municipality’s crews along with Israeli police raided on Friday morning several neighborhoods in Silwan and hung demolition orders on several residential establishments in Silwan after taking pictures of them.

Nihad Abbasi, one of the affected residents, said: “Municipality employees gave me an order to follow up with the municipality next week under the pretext of building without a permit.”

He added that his 120-square meters house is in the neighborhood of Ein Al-Lozeh in Silwan and was established 17 years ago. He lives in the house with his wife and their four children.

On the other hand, clashes broke out on Friday night in Hosh Abu Tayeh, Silwan between young men and occupation forces that fired a series of sound grenades.
