Excavation of ancient rocks in the village of Silwan
The so-called “Israeli Antiquities department” conducted on Thursday excavations in ancient rocks in the area of Al-Ein in Silwan.
The locals of Al-Ein area explained to Wadi Hilweh Information Center that the Israeli Antiquities department conducted excavations in ancient rocks using a small bulldozer.
They explained that municipality and antiquities crews closed the area of Al-Ein several months ago under the pretext of improving infrastructure. Then, they stopped working due to antiquities only to come back on Thursday and start digging again and deliberately damage these relics dating back to different periods of time.
