Occupation authorities prevent a cultural activity from being held at Al-Hakawati Theater
The occupation authorities prevented on Wednesday a cultural activity from being held at the Palestinian National Theater (Al-Hakawati) in Jerusalem under the pretext of being sponsored by the Palestinian Authority.
Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the Minister of Internal Security, Gilad Ardan, ordered to close the theater and prevent the activity from being held claiming that it was sponsored by the Palestinian Authority.
The order said that the activity of “Arabs that were displaced from their homes in 1948 and 1967” was sponsored by the Palestinian Authority without a permit or any written document according to Article 3(A) and the law for the Implementation of the Central Agreement on the West Bank and the Gaza Strip (identifying activities) 1994.
The Association of Jerusalem Clubs, "Mount of Olives and the city of Jerusalem" had invited to attend the cultural event entitled "Tagriba" in the National Theater, where artistic performances for the three teams were scheduled.
