A young man injured and arrested in the neighborhood of Al-Sowaneh in Jerusalem
The occupation forces arrested on Monday night a young Jerusalemite man after being shot by live ammunition in the neighborhood of Al-Sowaneh east of the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem.
Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the injured young man was shot in his leg after the occupation forces raided the neighborhood and opened fire towards a group of young men; the forces followed the young man and arrested him.
Eyewitnesses from the neighborhood said that first aid was given to the young man immediately after he was injured and arrested by Palestinian paramedics (Palestinian Red Crescent) and the Israeli paramedics, while the Israeli forces arrested him and accompanied him in an Israeli ambulance.
Witnesses said that the injured young man was transferred to Shaare Zedek hospital where his injury was described as moderate.
After the injury of the young man, the forces stormed Al-Sowaneh neighborhood and closed the streets and were deployed in the alleys; they also broke into a group of houses.
On the other hand, the Israeli occupation forces beat and pushed a group of protesters in the area of Damascus Gate in the city of Jerusalem, during a sit-in in rejection of Trump’s announcement to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
The center explained that the occupation forces suppressed protesters and beat them several times, and then vacated the courtyard of Damascus Gate.
