Pictures: A sit-in for the handicapped in the area of Damascus Gate in Jerusalem
December 19, 2017

Events in the city of Jerusalem continued against Trump's decision to declare the city as the capital of Israel, despite Israeli attempts to suppress the Jerusalemite voice.

Wadi Hilweh Information Center said that a group of young men with special needs organized a sit-in in the courtyard of Damascus Gate in Jerusalem, where they held photographs of the Martyr Ibrahim Abu Thuraya, who was killed last Friday by the Israeli occupation forces in Gaza.

The occupation forced tried to block the sit-in, preventing them from sitting on the stairs of Damascus Gate, where they managed to reach the courtyard only because of the iron barricades. The Israeli soldiers also removed all the journalists who were present and forced them to stand behind the barricades.

The Israeli occupation forces also isolated the youths from the area of Damascus Gate and beat some of them.

On the other hand, violent clashes broke out in the village of Esawyeh between young men and occupation forces.
