Pictures- Occupation municipality demolish a house and a commercial facility in Jerusalem
Israeli bulldozers demolished a house and a residential establishment in the city of Jerusalem on Wednesday, under the pretext of building without a permit.
Wadi Hilweh Information Center explained that the Israeli occupation forces, accompanied by bulldozers and municipal staff, stormed the village of Jabal Al-Mukabber in the morning and demolished a residential house for Mughrabi family.
Mahran Mughrabi explained that the bulldozers demolished his house, a 200-square-meter (roof), where he and his wife and two children had been living for about a year and a half.
Mughrabi family confirmed that the demolition was carried out without prior warning, as the family filed their papers in an attempt to license the house. However, the municipality claims that the area is forbidden to build, although the roof is an additional floor for the original building.
The family explained that the demolition was carried out on the contents of the house and on the plantations, and they were not allowed to empty it.
The family added that all the furniture was unusable after the demolition, and the bottom floor was also damaged.
Immediately after the demolition, the family emptied the rubble of the house (bricks, wood, and iron).
The demolitions in Jabal Al-Mukabber prevented the students from going to school due to the closure of the surrounding of the house. It was located in the middle of a main road. Many of the students were unable to attend school, and busses were unable to reach houses to transport students forcing them to take alternative road to get to their schools.
